The Nevada Lions Club held its regular Board of Directors meeting at Lions Jim Fenn's home on April 2, 2007. President Morfitt called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. The following members were in attendance:

President Morfitt read the March minutes, motion to approve by Lion Steve Jordening, seconded by Director Loren Heckathorne, motion carried. Treasurer's Report was submitted, DGE Susan Radke moved to approve, and Lion Charlene Jarboe seconded the motion, motion carried. Bills were submitted. Lion Steve Jordening moved they be paid, with District Governor Jerry Radke seconding the motion, motion carried.
Pancake Day Thank You NotesThird VP Janice Schmidt will send thank you notes to Burke Marketing and Fareway Store for their help with our successful Pancake Day Fundraiser. It was suggested Lions Janice Schmidt and Paul Malsom set the date for our next year's Pancake Fundraiser at the next meeting, so that we can be assured of Gates Hall availability.
Lions International Youth Camp ProgramDistrict Governor Jerry Radke moved we provide a meal for the Youth Camp one evening. The Camp is from July 14-21, 2007. Tail Twister Steve Jordening seconded the motion; it carried. Our club will be serving a meal on Thursday, July 19th.
Per Mar Security ServicesIt was moved, seconded, and carried that our club provide Event Security for the ISU home football games.
Third VP Janice Schmidt cleaned out the Lion storage cabinet at Gates Hall and compiled a supply list. She also initiated discussion about participating in the Independence Day Celebration in Nevada, perhaps serving hamburgers and watermelon. It was noted many members will be out of town that weekend.
The Nevada Patriotic Council will honor Korean War Veterans on Memorial Day. They sent a letter asking for a short biography from those Veterans to be read at the Memorial Day Celebration.
Lion Dean Howell will be moving to Davenport. Lion Steve Jordening moved we have a party to honor him and purchase a gift for around $25.00. Lion Jim Fenn seconded the motion and it was carried unanimously. Vice District Governor Susan Radke will be in charge of the arrangements.
District Governor Jerry Radke initiated discussion about future meetings when District Governor Elect Susan Radke would be unable to attend dinner meetings due to DG responsibilities. Lion Steve Jordening moved that Lion Susan be charged only for meals consumed, Lion Bob Hobson seconded the motion and it was carried.
DG Radke moved to adjourn, Lion Charlene Jarboe seconded, motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 9:10 PM.
