August 2007 Board of Directors Meeting

Lion Line

The Nevada Lions Club held it regular Board of Directors Meeting at the Community Room of the Nevada Public Library on August 6, 2007 with Duane Stansbury as host. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Vice President Jerry Radke who acted as Chairman. The following members were present:

Motion to approve the June 2007 minutes, as there was no Board Meeting in July, by Bob Hunter, seconded by Willie Morfitt. Motion approved.

The June 30 financial report was presented by Treasurer Bob Hunter. Motion to approve by Susan Radke, seconded by Charlene Jarboe. Motion approved.

The July 31 financial report was presented by the Treasurer. Motion to approve by Duane Stansbury, seconded by Bob Hobson. Motion approved.

Bills presented: Jerry Radke, $16.25 to send key to shed so Jim could get materials for float for July 4 parade; Gates Hall, 180.00; Lions International, 712.09; Fareway 6.38. Motion to pay bills as presented by Susan Radke, seconded by Jim Fenn. Motion approved.

It was reported that JoAnn Nady and Jean Bodensteiner will work in the Lions Booth at the Iowa State Fair.

A motion to donate $250 to Krysilis was made by Bob Hunter, seconded by Susan Radke. Motion to amend the motion to make the donation $100 made by Jim Fenn, seconded by Willie Morfitt. Motion approved 6 to 4.

Motion to table the motion made by Bob Hunter, seconded by Susan Radke. Motion approved.

Motion to donate $350 to the Legion Flag Fund made by Duane Stansbury, seconded by Susan Radke. Motion approved.

The Chamber Golf Outing will be brought up at the regular meeting July 22nd.

The next Board Meeting will be September 4th with Steve Jordening as host.

Motion to adjourn by Duane Stansbury, seconded by Charlene Jarboe. Motion approved.

Meeting adjourned at 8:18 pm.
