The Nevada Lions Club held its regular Board of Directors Meeting in the Community Room of the Nevada Public Library on 6 March 2006 with Susan Radke as hostess. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by President John Wheelock who acted as Chairman. The following members were in attendance:

The minutes of the previous meeting were read. Motion to approve the minutes as read made by Jerry Radke, seconded by Duane Stansbury. Motion approved.
Bills presented, International $47.96 for Bob Hunter, Paul Malsom, $24.78 for poster paper and printing. Motion to pay bills by Susan Radke, seconded by Charlie Lloyd. Motion approved.
It was noted that Wes Ebert is having surgery next week.
It was the consensus that the Club could not supply people to serve meals at the Special Olympics in July.
The Odyssey of the Minds is May 23-29. Breakfast would be from 6am to 10 am and Dinner 4 pm to 7:30 pm. John will check to see if there is a difference in pay.
A motion to approve $175.00 to sponsor a baseball team in Parks and Rec program was made by Jerry Radke, seconded by Charlie Lloyd. Motion approved.
A motion to decline the request from United Way for $50 was made by Charlie Lloyd, seconded by Jim Fenn. Motion approved.
A motion to approve a hearing aid for Virginia Acker, with no funds, was made by Jerry Radke, seconded by Charlie Lloyd. Motion approved.
District Governor Elect Jerry said that it is recommended that we have separate checking accounts for Administration and Project Funds.
Charlie Lloyd suggested that the Club consider having a Pancake & Sausage Supper instead of the Soup Supper in December. Paul Malsom reported that the December 8th date was confirmed for the School kitchen.
The April 3 meeting will be hosted by Bob Hobson. The May meeting will be hosted by Duane Stansbury.
