March 2015 Board of Directors Meeting

Windsor Manor, Wednesday Evening, Mar 25 -- Loren Heckathorne

The Nevada Lions Club held its regular Board of Directors meeting, March 25, 2015, in the Windsor Manor dining room. President Bob Hunter called the meeting to order at 8:00 pm and acted as Chairman, with the following members present:

Secretary Loren Heckathorne read Minutes from the Feb 25 Board Meeting, with an additional note from March 11. Motion was made by Jerry Radke, Second by John Beals to approve the Minutes. Motion passed.

Treasurer John Beals presented the Financial Reports for January and February. Charlene Jarboe moved to accept the financial reports, Second by Jason Kingsbury. Motion passed.

The project fund was negative $239, but the admin fund had $3982. Loren Heckathorne moved that $1000 be moved from the admin fund to the project fund. Second was made by Jerry Radke. Motion passed.

John Beals reported on KidSight. The results came back for the 8 children retakes and 7 were okay, but 1 child was referred to an Ophthalmologist.

John Beals reported on nominations. LaNair Niblock will remain Lions Tamer; Charlene Jarboe will remain Membership Chair; Willy Morfitt will remain Publicity Chair; Jerry Radke will remain Web Master; Jason Kingsbury will move up to President; Loren Heckathorne will remain Secretary. All the remaining positions are unfilled at this time.

President Hunter read a note from Pam Oliver #d#e the Olivers will remain members of our Lions club.

Charlene reported on scholarships. Nevada High School hasn't sent the applications yet. Charlene was given the Youth Exchange information and will make contact with them for our sweet corn and bologna feed.

Jerry Radke will attend the District Convention in Altoona. His registration and meals expenses will be reimbursed later.

Willy is continuing glasses pickups. The request for glasses financial assistance from last month was resolved and also there is a new request this month.

The paper recycling trailer will be full in 2 or 3 weeks and it will be a big load. Also, it was noted that cardboard could be placed on top of the paper load, since it wouldn't take up too much room that way.

President Hunter gave Jerry Radke a membership growth award from Lions International.

President Hunter adjourned the meeting at 8:33.
