The Nevada Lions Club held its regular Board of Directors Meeting May 11, 2009 at the home of Charlie Lloyd. The meeting was called to order at 7:03 pm by Vice President Janice Schmidt who acted as Chairperson with the following members present:

Motion to approve the minutes of April 6, 2009 as read made by Bob Hunter, seconded by Paul Malsom. Motion approved.
Treasurer's Report made by Loren Heckathorne. Motion to approve the Treasurer's Report made by Dick Couser, seconded by Willie Morfitt. Motion approved.
Bob Hunter reported that the paper recycling truck has 8 or 9 ft loaded.
Relay forms and envelopes for transporting eyes for the eye bank were passed out.
Meals at the Odyssey of the Mind were discussed.
Charlene Jarboe will chair serving the evening meal at the International Youth Camp July 13, 2009.
The Zone Meeting will be held at the Nevada Library Conference Room May 22, 2009 at 7:00 pm.
No response for request for help for Open Eyes Screening at the Special Olympics.
A Chairman to organize KidSight screenings is needed.
A letter from Parks and Rec was received thanking the club for sponsoring little league baseball teams. The Lions Club teams are the Red and Gray.
The next Board Meeting will be June 1 with Loren Heckathorne as host.
