November 2007 Board of Directors Meeting

Lion Line

The Nevada Lions Club held its regular Board of Directors Meeting at the home of Lion John Wheelock November 5, 2007. The meeting was called to order at 7:03 pm by President Charles Lloyd who acted as Chairman. The following members were present:

Motion to approve the minutes of October 1, 2007 by Jerry Radke, seconded by Charlene Jarboe. Motion approved.

The Treasurers Report was given by Bob Hunter. It included a report by Bob and Jerry Radke on the separation of the bank account into administration and project categories. Motion to approve the Treasurers Report by Steve Jordening, seconded by Paul Malsom. Motion approved.

Bills presented: Jim Fenn, candy for Lincoln Highway Days, 61.27; Gates Hall, 5 meetings, 150.00; Chamber of Commerce Dues, 110.00; Lions International, supplies and JoAnn Nady membership, 122.59. Motion to pay bills presented by Steve Jordening, seconded by Charlene Jarboe. Motion approved.

Janice Schmidt reported on Safe Trick or Treat Night. The apprentice leader dogs were very popular as was the Lion. Suggestions for next year were pictures and pass out information sheets about Lions to parents.

The MC9 District Convention will be held November 9 and 10 in Marshalltown. Help is needed.

Janice Schmidt will check on sausage for the pancake supper to be held December 7, 2007 at the High School in conjunction with the ADM basketball game.

Motion to ask the Masons for $50 donation for the use of the Lions grill for their breakfast fund raiser by Willie Morfitt, seconded by Charlene Jarboe. Motion approved.

The next Board Meeting will be held at the home of Charlene Jarboe on December 3rd.

Motion to adjourn by Duane Stansbury, seconded by Paul Malsom.

Meeting adjourned at 8:00 pm.
