November Board of Directors Meeting

Lion Line

The Nevada Lions Club held its regular Board of Directors Meeting November 13, 2013 in the Windsor Manor Dining Room. The meeting was called to order at 7:46 pm by President Jerry Radke who acted as Chairman with the following members present:

A motion to approve the October minutes as read was made by John Beals, seconded by Willie Morfitt. Motion approved.

A motion to approve the Treasurer's Report given by Loren Heckathorne was made by Bob Hunter, seconded by Susan Radke. Motion approved.

The following bills were presented: $30.64 for KidSight Postage and $25 for Registration at the 9MC District Convention. Bob Hunter moved to pay the bills, seconded by Jayson Kingsbury. Motion approved.

A motion to transfer $1000 from the Administration Fund to the Project Fund was made by Loren Heckathorne, seconded by Charlene Jarboe. Motion approved.

A motion to purchase twenty $50 Christmas gift certificates from Fareway for food baskets was made by Charlene Jarboe, seconded by Loren Heckathorne. Motion approved.

Bob Hunter submitted a plan by Jim Fenn to build a display board to be placed inside the recycling trailer for the purpose of holding brochures and sacks. A motion to allocate $200 for this project was made by Susan Radke, seconded by Jayson Kingsbury. Motion approved.

A Membership Committee report was given by Charlene Jarboe. Thank you letters were received from the Kiwanis Club for the use of our pancake grill and from Kathy Goecke at the Elementary School for our Kidsight screenings.

A discussion on inviting spouses to our meetings followed. Maybe once a month to have more audience for our programs.

Meals On Wheels participation is falling off in our community and we need to get more information on this.

Loren moved to adjourn and we adjourned at 8:27 pm.
