The Nevada Lions Club held its regular Board of Directors Meeting September 7, 2010 at the home of Steve Jordening. The meeting was called to order at 7:08 pm by President Charlene Jarboe who acted as Chairperson with the following members present:

A motion to approve the minutes of August 2, 2010 was made by Bob Hunter, seconded by Steve Jordening. Motion approved.
A motion to approve a payment of $61.38 to Jim Fenn for candy for the Lincoln Highway Days Parade was made by John Beals, seconded by Paul Malsom. Motion approved.
A letter of resignation was received from Tom Haller. Motion to accept the resignation with regrets was made by John Beals, seconded by Jerry Radke. Motion approved.
PDG Bob Price reported that over 300 families in District 9MC have had everything from flooded basements to condemned homes. LCIF made a $10,000 emergency grant to the District for Flood Relief. The District is asking each Club to donate $100 to the Flood Relief fund to be used only in District 9MC. A motion to grant the request for $100 was made by John Beals, seconded by Jerry Radke. Motion approved.
After a discussion about membership a motion that the Club pay for prospective member's meals was made by John Beals, seconded by Steve Jordening. Motion approved.
After a lengthy discussion about meeting times a motion was made to change the dinner meeting times to the second and fourth Mondays starting at 6:00 pm and have the Board of Directors Meeting following the first dinner meeting of the month was made by Jerry Radke, seconded by John Beals. Motion approved.
A motion to begin the change in meeting times in January 2011 was made by John Beals, seconded by Paul Malsom. Motion approved.
Puppy Days at the North Central Correctional Facility at Rockwell City will be October 3.
Motion to adjourn by Bob Hunter, seconded by John Beals.
