Dear Fellow Lions,
Thank you, husband Lion Jerry, for asking me to join the Nevada Lions Club,
and I sincerely thank all of you who voted to accept me into this club.
In the June 1999 Lion, our International President, Kajit Habanananda,
wrote that we Lions have had a most successful year, taking the concept of
harmony to heart and putting it into action. We have grown in membership
internationally and locally. As of January 31, 1999, Lions Clubs
International had 1,412,258 members in 44,155 clubs in 740 districts in
185 countries and geographical locations!
Here in Story County, we have said good-bye to a wonderful Christian man,
Jim Johnson. He had been a Lion for seven years, and was always ready to
help out with a smile on his face.
I have had the honor of inducting Angelo Stefani, Jim Perkins, Charles
Lloyd, and Larry Myers into our club and welcoming transfers Jan Whaley
and Wes Ebert.
Please accept my gratitude for all the help and encouragement I've had
this year, and know that I look forward to working with this group of
thoughtful, committed citizens, making this a better community and world.
Your president,
Susan
Special Appreciation to LION BOB HOBSON for his many
years of hard work and complete dedication to the Nevada Lions Club!
Thanks yous!
