Our newly elected International President, James E. "Jim" Ervin asks all
Lions to join him on a voyage into the new millenium aboard four ships:
MEMBERSHIP
FELLOWSHIP
LEADERSHIP
PARTNERSHIP
Our newly elected District Governor, Herman Kopitzke, reported in his first
newsletter: "President Jim says 'Let us as Lions, embrace the future with
enthusiasm and imagination in membership, leadership, fellowship and
partnership. While the word may vary in each language, the concept of
voyaging together toward a common goal is universal. I am ready to board my
"ship". I have a clear vision of our destination. It is a new century of
service where Lions Clubs International will be seen as the leading light in
a brightening sea.
SHARE MY VISION, BOARD OUR SHIP.'"
President Jim encourages "each one reach one'; his goal is to double the
current size of our Lions Clubs International. His goal is our goal - we've
had the honor of welcoming Wes Ebert and Bill Tipton, and Jan Whaley this
past year, and inducting Charles Lloyd, Larry Myers, Jim Perkins and Angelo
Stefani. There are many more fine, caring individiuals in our community.
Let's ask them to join the world's largest service organization!
