MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE REPORT:
Your membership committee met at Lion Don Williams' home with Lion Nib, Lion Jim F., and Lion Susan present on September 8th.
We decided to kick off a membership drive by requesting 3 prospective members' names from each Lion. We'll be gathering these names on 2 meeting nights - September 23rd and October 14th. We plan to meet October 15th at 7 p.m. at Lion Don's home again to finalize plans for a letter to be sent to these prospective members by October 17th. We'll have a copy of this letter for each of you by September 23rd.
We plan to include two "Guest Meal" tickets with each letter to encourage attendance at our "Yes, I'll join!" Night on November 11th.
The initial letter will be followed by 2 phone calls to answer any questions about our Lions Club, and to confirm attendance on November 11th. We are asking each Lion to make these follow-up calls, but will have a Calling Committee to help if necessary.
We'd like to give any Lion who sponsors a new member one month of free meals. Board Members, please consider this, and we'll discuss it at our next meeting.
Our Ladies Night will be moved to October 28th to accommodate this Membership Drive.
Lion Jim will also compose a letter to be sent to Nevada businesses, encouraging them to encourage and pay for a Lion's membership from their business.
We plan to have an editorial in the Journal the week of October 22nd, and also get our street sign out to advertise the November 11th night and future "Guest Nights".
Every Lion in this club is a key player in this effort. Please give serious consideration to our future. Who could refuse membership in a club with such a great bunch of people?!?

OCTOBER 14 - NIB NIBLOCK-call Bob if you plan to bring a guest. - you must submit 3 names to the Membership Committee.

NOVEMBER 11 - Duane Stansbury & "Yes, I'll join" Night
