Nevada Lions

Membership Drive

We are looking for men and women to serve the Nevada community.
If you think you have what it takes to become a Lion, contact Lions Membership Director Bob Hunter ( or any Nevada Lions Club member.

Membership in Lions Clubs International is open to all persons over the age of 18 having high moral character and a good reputation in his/her community. The Nevada Lions Club meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month in the Dining Room of Windsor Manor, 1642 South G Avenue, Nevada, Iowa. Dinner begins at 6:30 pm followed by a short business meeting and a interesting program finishing by 8 pm. Board of Directors meetings are held after the dinner meeting on the second Wednesday of each month.

Nevada Lions members help their community with service projects and by supporting local, national, and international programs. Activities include fund raisers, social events, and interesting programs at the regular meetings. The Nevada Lions Club officers plan these activities a year in advance beginning in July. Members of the club serve on various committees. We follow the Lions objectives and code of ethics.

Further information on the Nevada Lions Club and Lionism in general can be accessed through the various links on the Nevada Lions Club Homepage. Membership in the Nevada Lions Club is by invitation. A membership drive is now underway. Cost of membership includes a $35 one-time initiation fee, $40 semi-annual dues, and the cost of meals (currently $10.00 per meal). If you are interested in obtaining an informational brochure or a membership application, send an e-mail to Lion Secretary Loren Heckathorne (, contact any Nevada Lion, or call a member of the Membership Committee:
